What is a bruise?

Following a trauma of some kind, the surface of the skin can show a purple to brown bruise between days 0-14 post incident. The bruise is a collection of blood vessels built up under the skin.

How can you treat a bruise?

Traditionally options like arnica cream or icing were used to improve bruising, however this takes too long. Post treatment or injectables, the idea of a bruise hanging around for weeks can be frustrating. Luckily now we have amazing laser technology able to treat and improve the bruise immediately, with improvements consistently seen over several hours post treatment. The treatment works exactly by using the vascular laser wavelength to target the broken blood vessels. It significantly speeds up the healing process with the actual treatment itself taking 15-30 minutes!
Our client below experienced a bruise after a dental treatment and within a day this was his result!

How long does the Excel V+ take to heal the bruise?

You will see a significant fading of the bruise after just one treatment. You may see a small bruise clear in the space of 24 hours. Deeper and darker bruises will resolve two to three times faster by using laser treatments. A dark bruise might take up to three weeks to resolve naturally, but with the use of the Excel V laser, you may see it resolve in the space of three to five days. Because the bruise fades very quickly it will be much easier to cover with makeup or concealer so you can get back to your life!

Does it hurt?

Using the Excel V+ laser is fast and comfortable, with the treatment being over within minutes. It’s a similar sensation to a rubber band snap on the skin however we provide a cool tip on the skin for additional comfort. The results are clinically proven, as is patient satisfaction and comfort.

Are there any side effects?

You can return to normal activities straight away, as well as apply makeup if desired. Redness and swelling can be expected post treatment and resolves within several hours post treatment, or in some cases 24-48 hours.
