What Is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is an exfoliation treatment that uses a surgical blade to gently shave off the ‘peach fuzz’ or ‘fluff’ on the face, as well as removing dead skin cells. This leaves your skin soft, smooth, and glowing! A popular treatment to have done before events as makeup and products sit beautifully on top of your fresh skin!
Will my hair grow back darker?
We are happy to let everyone know this is a common misconception, the answer is NO! Your hair does not grow back thicker or darker – the reason for this is that we are only shaving the hair – we are not touching or affecting the root of the follicle, so it will grow back exactly the same. Some women can notice changes in their hair during hormonal periods of their life, whether this be pregnancy, menopause or from hormonal conditions like imbalances or PCOS.
How long does it take for the hair to grow back?
The average time frame is anywhere between 1-4 weeks. This changes person to person and is influenced by factors like previous dermaplaning treatments, hormones, genetics etc.
How often should I have dermaplaning done?
You can have this treatment done monthly to assist in your skins naturally exfoliating process and keep on top of reducing peach fuzz. Regular exfoliation allows better product penetration, as clumpy dead skin can block all those good ingredients from reaching their target within your skin. We pair our dermaplaning treatment with a hydrating mask post treatment to help restore and maintain your beautiful skin!
