We welcome our newest addition to the CosMediSpa clinic, the Enlighten Laser, adding to an already wide range of results-driven treatments. The Enlighten is a picosecond platform that features multiple laser wavelengths to treat a wide range of concerns on the face and body. But what does this mean? Put simply the picosecond is much safer and obtains better results than a regular laser treatment.
What type of concerns is the best candidate for the Enlighten laser?
- Melasma
- Sun damage
- Unwanted tattoos
- Acne scarring
- Skin texture
- Uneven skin tone
- Ageing
In the past, people of darker skin colours or those who experience hormonally driven pigment like melasma were unable to have laser treatments done due to risks of post-inflammatory pigment – which makes pigment concerns worse rather than better. That is a thing of the past now, with Enlighten being able to successfully treat melasma and darker skin tones with no issues.
PLUS, due to its pigment destroying ability, the Enlighten is capable of safely and effectively removing tattoos! The 670mm wavelength is the first true-red picosecond wavelength that effectively removes blue & green tattoo inks with incredible precision and safety.
Did you know, 1 in 4 people experience tattoo regret?
The treatment itself is best completed in a series of 3, at 4-week intervals with minimal downtime expected post-treatment. That means you can go back to your day with no worries. The laser has a photomechanical effect, using non-thermal and short-pulse durations to easily shatter pigment in the skin all while preserving the surrounding tissue.
There are 3 types of PICO treatments tattoo removal, the PICO Gensis and PICO Genesis FX.
To discuss which treatment would be suitable for your skin, we recommend booking in for a comprehensive skin consultation with one of our friendly dermal therapists. Herer we can discuss everything you need to know about your skin treatment, including the most appropriate pre and post care.
